I invite you to join us for our first ever parish Eucharistic Procession for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi this Sunday, June 11, at the end of our final Sunday Mass around our property and parking lot.
At the end of the 11 am Mass, ministers will lead the procession outside, from the church, with our processional cross, candle torches, and incense, while others carry a special canopy made to create a sacred space for the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance throughout the procession. The children who will receive their First Communion at the 11 am Mass will also participate in the procession carrying beautiful banners and ribbons, ringing bells and strewing flower petals before Jesus in the monstrance to proclaim him our King!
At the entrances of the church in each direction, we will have a small altar set up as a station where we shall have a short time of song and prayer and then continue walking until we’ve gone around the building. Click here to see the program we'll hand out so that you may join in on the hymns and prayers.
We will end our Eucharistic Procession with Benediction and Divine Praises where we began, in the church.
Following this, we will have a time of food, fellowship, and refreshments in the hall to celebrate the occasion!
If you attended another Mass this weekend, please come back for the end of the
11 am Mass around 11:50 or so to take part in the procession! Everyone is welcome!
I am, in our Lord, yours.
Fr. Brian Trueman
