Dear brothers and sisters,
I just wanted to provide a bit of intro to this week's actual message which is not written by myself; it comes from Archbishop LeGatt himself. His message begins this year's annual Good Shepherd Campaign, an appeal for financial and spiritual support, mainly aimed at new and ongoing priestly formation, and many of the other good diocesan initiatives and programs.
Many of you know how I was a direct beneficiary of the goodness of the people of God through such efforts when I was a seminarian myself not too long ago. To this day, we continue to have many young men answering God's call to come here to St. Boniface and minister to the holy people of God here, and they are all really good guys. Let us continue to pray for them that they would be formed more and more into an image of the Good Shepherd, Jesus himself. And let us respond in gratitude to God's goodness with our gifts by supporting our local church here in the diocese of St. Boniface.
Here is the Archbishop's letter speaking of this new campaign:
You can read and learn more about the campaign and our seminarians on their website.
Deo gratias! Thanks be to God!
Fr. Brian Trueman
